Downloading and uploading files to icloud

You can move files from iCloud Drive to your Mac as you need them, or select all of your files and drag them to the place you want to keep them. If you turn off iCloud Drive or sign out of iCloud, a new Desktop and Documents folder is created in your home folder. You also have the option to keep a local copy of your files that are in iCloud Drive.

If you keep a local copy of your files in iCloud Drive, they're copied to a folder called iCloud Drive Archive in your home folder. You can move any files that were in your iCloud Desktop and Documents to your new local Desktop and Documents.

Use the Files app to access your files on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Double-click on the Folder to which you want to add Files. Once you are in the Folder, click on the upload Cloud icon. If the File is small, it will immediately show up on iCloud Drive. If you are uploading a large file, you will see it uploading to iCloud Drive.

Double-click on the Folder where the File that you want to deleted is located. Once you are in the Folder, select File that you want to delete by clicking on it. Other apps upload your files to iCloud only after you save them to the iCloud Drive folder. Then check the iCloud Drive folder to see if the changes appear. When you turn on iCloud Drive, any documents that you already store in iCloud automatically move to iCloud Drive. You can see your files on iCloud.

If you get a Resolve Conflict message when you open a file, choose the version of the document that you want to save.
